A family story written in red sauce since 1956
On April 12, 1956, DiCicco’s Italian Restaurant was founded by four brothers from Pacentro, Italy—Nicola, Alberto, Francesco, and Roberto—alongside their parents Maria and Pasquale, who brought their love of food, hard work, and hospitality to California’s Central Valley.
From the beginning, it wasn’t just about the food—it was about the experience. Red sauce simmered from scratch, fresh bread baked daily, pizza dough flying through the air, and Italian-American classics like spaghetti and meatballs became the heart of every table. The brothers worked side by side, singing Italian songs and filling the room with joy, bringing an energy the neighborhood had never seen.
Locals soon began calling them The Four Sons of Italy—a name that stuck, just like the food.
